It enables people between the ages of 18 and 65 with an acquired brain injury to live an independent life by providing them with a supportive living environment. ASD Special Classes cater for the needs of children with Autism who are of school going age and are attached to mainstream and special schools.
The pupil-teacher ratio in these classes is 6:1 and pupils are further supported by a minimum of two Special Needs Assistants per class.
There are 10 pre-school classes in 6 Primary Schools, 57 classes in 32 Primary Schools, and 33 classes in 15 Secondary Schools, mainly TETB, around the county as follows:
