The Clonmel Garda Youth Diversion Project works with young people aged 12-18 years who have received a Juvenile Liaison Officer (JLO) caution or are deemed at risk of involvement in anti-social behaviours.
The project offers group, one-to-one and Drop-In support to young people from the town of Clonmel. Project leaders deliver issue-based programmes, activities and educational supports to the young people.

It seeks to help young people develop their sense of community and their social skills through different activities. The project offers opportunities for education, employment, training, sport, art, music and other activities. It seeks to encourage a better quality of life for everyone in the community and to support good relations between the Gardaí and the community.
FLAC is an independent, voluntary organisation that helps people to understand and access their legal rights. Its aim is to promote equal access to justice for everybody. FLAC offers free and confidential legal information and advice to the public through its centres.
FLAC also runs a telephone information and referral line offering basic legal information to the public.

The Garda Victim Service provides victims of crime with information of all significant developments associated with their case, with crime prevention advice and with details of relevant support services available from other agencies. The Victim Service Offices are the central point of contact for victims of crime and trauma in each Garda Division.
Juvenile Liaison Officers (JLOs) work with children who have committed offences and liaise with their families and victims about their behaviour as part of the Garda Youth Diversion programme. In all cases, a local Juvenile Liaison Officer (JLO) will make contact with and meet the young person to discuss the offending behaviour and to assess whether he or she can be cautioned or whether to proceed with formal court process of charge and prosecution.

The Probation service works to rehabilitate offenders and thereby create safer communities and fewer victims.
The Probation service is the lead agency in the assessment and management of offenders in the community. Probation Officers provide offender assessment reports to the Court, the Department of Justice and Equality, the Irish Prison Service, the Parole Board and other appropriate bodies as required. TAR Garda Youth Diversion Project is a community-based and community- supported youth development project which seeks to divert young people from becoming involved or having further involvement in anti-social or criminal behaviour. It aims to create the conditions whereby the behavioural patterns of young people towards law and order can develop and mature through positive interventions and interaction with the project through programmes and activities.
The Tipperary Garda Divisional Protective Services Unit is charged with the investigation of specialised crime categories, including sexual crime, child abuse, Domestic Abuse and on-line child exploitation, including child pornography. This unit and others have been set up around the country in recent years as part of An Garda Síochána’s Modernisation and Renewal programme. The unit includes Specialist Interviewers whose main function is to interview persons under the age of 14 years who have been a victim of a sexual or violent incident or have witnessed same.
