HSE Regional Suicide Resource Office in the South-East region provides a bereavement counselling service for persons aged 16 years and upwards who have been bereaved in any of the following circumstances:
- Suicide
- Homicide
- Road Traffic accident
- Industrial/ Agricultural/ Domestic accident
- Drowning
A minimum of 12 bereavement counselling sessions are offered and there is no cost to the person availing of the service.
The HSE National Counselling Service is a professional, confidential counselling and psychotherapy service available free of charge in all regions of the HSE. The client group are adults who have experienced trauma and abuse in childhood with priority given to adult survivors of institutional abuse in Ireland.
Eligibility: Counselling provided to adults, aged 18 years and upwards in the areas of abuse, sexual abuse and trauma.

A Community Development Worker is employed by HSE Disability services to undertake projects to raise awareness of the needs of people with disabilities and to promote their integration in the local community. The worker has been involved in a County Council and HSE-sponsored town-based Gold Star initiative, initially in Cashel, and in more recent years in Tipperary town, working with the local communities and with people with different levels of ability to enhance inclusion at different levels. HSE Disabilities services are responsible for coordinating the range of Health and Social Service provision for children and adults with disabilities, also including respite and home support services, Day or Rehabilitative training services and residential services. These services may be delivered directly or in partnership with a wide range of non-statutory service providers.

Health Promotion & Improvement delivers training in various aspects of health, targeting participants working in the health, education, youth and community sectors, whose work currently or will potentially involve aspects of health promotion.
