Youth Counselling Services

Youth counselling services are offered by agencies in a number of areas around the county:

  • Millennium Family Resource Centre provides a counselling service for young people

    Target Group: Young people, aged 12 – 24 years, in the Slieveardagh area, including Fethard and Killenaule.

    How to access: Parental referrals, School referrals, GP referrals, and youth service referrals

  • Youthwork Ireland Tipperary delivers the Mindout programme in youthwork settings. This is a group programme promoting social and emotional wellbeing.

  • North Tipperary Development Company provides the Roscrea Youth Counselling service for young people which includes a one-to-one counselling service and a group facilitation service.

    Target Group: Young people, aged 10 – 17 years from the Roscrea area with a Co. Tipperary postal address.

    How to access: Parental referrals, School referrals, youth service referrals and referrals from other agencies

  • Spafield Family Resource Centre, Cashel, provides a counselling service for young people

    Target Group: Young people, aged 12 – 18 years, from the South of the county.

    How to access: Parental referrals; Referrals through the Prevention Partnership & Family Support programme; Referrals from schools,  GPs, other agencies, and Tusla.

  • Carrick on Suir Community Resource Centre hosts a counselling service for young people

    ​​​​​​Target Group: Young people, aged 12 – 17 years

  • Knockanrawley Resource Centre, Tipperary town, provides both Family Therapy and Psychotherapy services to young people, with one-to-one counselling provided to children aged 15 - 18 years. 
    For children younger than 15 years, counselling is provided through systemic family therapy interventions. Children aged 15 - 18 years can avail of individual one-to-one  psychotherapy support. 

    How to access: Referrals are accepted from parents, GPs, schools, youth services and other agencies.
