The Teen Parents Support Programme is a confidential support service for young people who are pregnant or are parents. The programme also offers support to the teen parent’s partner, and to both the maternal and paternal grandparents.

Supports can range from training and education, advice on welfare rights and entitlements, housing and more. Parenting services include:

  • Antenatal & Postnatal classes
  • One-to-one Positive Parenting
  • Support with Co-Parenting
  • Advice, Information & Advocacy.

The Teen Parents Support Programme delivers confidential supports to teenage parents 19 years of age and under in Carlow, Kilkenny & Tipperary South, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Out of hour’s services can be agreed by prior arrangement.

Target Group: Young women, 19 years and under, who are pregnant or are parents; their partners; maternal & paternal grandparents

Referral: Self-referral; family referral; professional referral

Hours of Business: Monday – Friday, 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.  Out of hour’s services can be agreed by prior arrangement.

Geographic remit: Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary
