St. Anne’s Special School, Roscrea, provides a service to children with a moderate, severe or profound general learning disability, or with autism and a moderate general learning disability.

St. Anne’s School provides quality Individual Education Plans relevant to the needs and abilities of each unique pupil. St. Anne’s School provides quality transition programmes into Adult Services and is registered to offer programmes leading to F.E.T.A.C. Level 3 Awards.

Life and Leisure skills developed include:

  • Life Skills e.g cooking

Other specialist services available include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, School Nurse.

Eligibility: Children from 4 to 18 years of age who may present with either a severe/profound general learning disability (GLD), a moderate GLD, or with autism and a GLD.

Referral: Children are referred to the school by GPs, Early Intervention Services or by their parents.
