Irish Girl Guides

Irish Girl Guides are a youth-driven, dynamic organisation offering a varied and exciting programme for girls and young women aged 5-30, and opportunities for women of all ages.

Members of Irish Girl Guides learn new skills, grow in self-confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills experience new activities, and build lifelong friendships.

There is a strong emphasis on the outdoorsenvironmentcommunity responsibility and global sisterhood.

There are four different age brackets called Branches and girls of each Branch meet in local groups called Units around the country. The branches are:

  •  Ladybird Guides, ages 5-7 years
  • Brownies, ages 7-10 years
  • Girl Guides, ages 10-14 years
  • Senior Branch, ages 14-30 years

Target Group: Girls and young women, aged 5 – 30 years

Eligibility: Irish Girl Guides actively promotes diversity and inclusion and welcomes girls and young women from all walks of life. Anyone who lives their life as female is welcome to join the organisation.
