The South Tipperary Drug & Alcohol Outreach service is a one-worker project which engages individuals involved in problematic drug and alcohol misuse.

The Outreach project, managed by Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Service, offers one-to-one work for individuals concerned about their substance misuse. The aim of the project is to focus on reducing the harm that individuals can incur as a result of their substance use. It is a free confidential service. The project offers 1-1 support, motivational work and harm reduction, in addition to referral to alternative/additional support services if required.

Target groups/Eligibility: The project targets both males and females from the age of 13 upwards who are engaging in risky substance using behaviour. Individuals referred must be aware of the referral and be willing to engage with the worker.

Referral: Self-referrals, Referrals by families or other concerned parties, Referrals from other agencies
