Local Training Initiatives

As part of the TETB’s training services programme, Local Training Initiatives (LTIs) are project-based training and work experience programmes carried out in the local community and run by local community groups throughout Tipperary. They are designed for people who are unemployed, and who are experiencing difficulty in gaining entry to the labour market. Courses are QQI accredited, full-time and delivered all year round. Examples of LTIs include:

  • Pathways to Employment Level 4 courses run variously by Spafield FRC in Cashel , Knockanrawley Resource Centre in Tipperary town and the Cahir Development Association
  • Sports & Recreation Level 4 course in Littleton
  • ‘Making Connections’ Level 3, run by the Waterford & South Tipperary Community Youth Services
