Clonmel Community Mothers Programme

Clonmel Community Mother Programme is an established Home Visiting organization providing a suite of supports to parents of children, aged 0 – 5 years. Community Mothers work from an Infant Mental Health model.

The service offers:

• Support & Information re. Child Development & Parenting
• Ante-natal Support
• Breast-feeding support
• Mother & Baby Groups
• Parent & Toddler Groups
• Baby Massage

Staff work with a suite of skills, drawing from Infant Mental Health programmes (NBO - Newborn Observations Certified; Solihull Approach Parenting), Parenting programmes (Strengthening Families; Parent Plus Early Years), Play Therapy, and ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) trauma-informed practice.

Eligibility: Parents and carers of children, aged 0 – 5 years, in Clonmel, Cahir, Cashel, Fethard, Carrick-on-Siúir, and surrounding rural areas.

Referral: Self-referrals; referrals from other agencies
